Macy's Back!

My family's Elf On The Shelf, "Macy", is home for the holidays! Do any of you guys have elves? If so, what are their names and where is the craziest place you've found them?

  1. P.S: Would you like to see Macy in more posts? I can show you where she is every day, or maybe a day a week, or I could post her best hiding place at the end of a week.

  2. ^ I like option 3 :) I have an Elf named Elfie, but he hasn't come yet. I'm not sure what the craziest place was, but he like to hide in tricky places.

  3. I love the idea of Elf on the Shelf! My family has never done it, but we do have a lot of other traditions such as when St. Nicholas comes and fills our stockings on December 6th(St. Nicholas's feast day.)

    P.S. I would like to see Macy in other posts. Maybe a photostory!

  4. ahh, it's about time that our little elf happy (my youngest brother got to name it and was six at the time) comes back to our house, though he always comes december first. one year, the first year that we were in our new house actually, i found happy in my bathroom, and he had "written" merry christmas in bright blue toothpaste on our brand new mirror. not fun to clean up. another year we woke up and went downstairs only to find that happy had "found" the flour...guess who got to clean that one up, too? my personal favorite was when we found him "playing" poker with some decorative christmas stuffed animals we had out. that one i actually enjoyed because i didn't have to clean it up.

    happy and i have a unique relationship—i think he's out to get me. does macy play favorites?

    whelp, i'd love to see where she pops up each day (or once a week, or maybe just a "macy recap" post at the end of the month or something?). :)

    1. Macy doesn't really come on a specific date, she just shows up sometime shortly after Thanksgiving. Happy is a cute name! :) If Macy plays favorites, I'm her favorite. :P I'm the youngest, and there's a big skip between me and my brother, (5 years, 11 and 16) so you can tell most of her tricks are aimed at me. One time I found her playing cards with my dolls. That was fun!

    2. this year he seems to be okay (by "he" i mean happy and i and our silent battle)—brought us doughnuts this morning and was simply sitting in the fruit bowl. awe yeah haha happy's favorite is my brother jacob (i'm the oldest at fourteen, then there's ryan at 12 and jacob at 9), we've got a five year gap too.
      oh, finding her playing cards with your dolls does sound fun! last year we found him in jacob's room playing with some legos. :}
